What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • The person in this position will perform maintenance repairs and new installations involving all aspects of mechanical and electrical maintenance and construction on buildings, structures, machines, and utilities comprising the plant complex.

  • Performs most maintenance repairs and new installations involving various aspects of mechanical and electrical maintenance and construction on buildings, structures, machines, and utilities comprising the plant complex.

Your Education Should Be…

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Electrical license preferred

  • Electronic training preferred

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

WORKING CONDITIONS:

· Mostly Outdoor/Shop Environment

· Must be able to work outdoor and indoor

REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) WHILE IN THE SHOPS:

· Safety Glasses

· Steel Toe Shoes

· Ear Plugs

· Gloves (when needed)

· Hard Hats (when needed)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Walking

· Standing

· Using hands

· Bending

· Lifting

· Sitting

· Climbing

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • 1 year technical maintenance experience

  • 4 years prior maintenance experience or a combination of experience and training

  • 2 years of experience in reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting circuits

  • 2 years of experience working with overhead bridge cranes

  • 2 years of experience working with welding machines

  • Experience working with variable frequency drives

  • Working knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools

  • Attends, participates and conduct pre-shift and weekly safety meetings

  • Deals politely and professionally with coworkers, customers, vendors and visitors

  • Follows direction or instruction

  • Acceptable housekeeping practices

  • Complies with all AXC policies and procedures including Attendance, Code of Conduct, PPE/Dress Code, Teamwork, etc.

  • Safety training complete
