As a CNC Operator, you will operate machine tools in the manufacture of compressor components. To include setting, operating and inspection of machined components.
What Needs To Be Done?
Manufacture compressor components to Engineering drawings and specifications to ensure successful first time build and test of finished components.
Adhere to all relevant instructions contained within Work Standard Instructions (WSI’s) in the manufacture of Compressor components.
Contribute and comply with accurate collation of Shop Floor Documentation information, including data contained within CPI’s Shop Floor Data Collection system (SFDC).
Conform to all aspects of CPI’s Quality Management System, including the fulfilment of all relevant procedures etc including all Standard Practice (SP’s)
Deliver quality components in a timely manner whilst contributing to efficient and effective manufacturing principles.
Interact and respond to all aspects of supporting CPI’s cost reduction, efficiency, delivery and Quality improvements.
Provide training support for Apprentices and work colleagues to help improve skills levels
Ensure adherence to health and safety standards in compliance with company policy to ensure safe working environment.
What Do You Need To Bring?
Essential skills, knowledge & behaviours
Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
Engineering drawing interpretation ability
Experienced in multi-disciplined CNC machining – Turning, milling, boring
General Environmental Health and Safety awareness
Previous experience of Precision Manufacture
Ability to work unsupervised
Desirable skills, knowledge & behaviours
- Lean Manufacturing Skills
