Exciting Opportunity for a Quality Engineering – Technical Administrator

We are searching for a Quality Engineering – Technical Administrator to join our busy team based in Renfrew. As Technical Administrator, you will provide general administration support to the Quality Engineering team, including running routine reports, arranging room bookings, procuring miscellaneous items, preparation for inspection visits, miscellaneous administration tasks.

You will also provide support to the Quality Engineering team, in the delivery of Compressors / Package Projects, including facilitation of client inspector visits. You will support the preparation and coordination of inspection / process review activities at Suppliers/Sub-Contractor.

Full training will be provided to carry out the requirements of the role. This is a permanent position working 37 hours per week. We offer hybrid working for this role which will allow you to enjoy the balance of home working and collaboration time with the team in our modern, friendly offices which include free onsite parking.

What Needs To Be Done?

  • Provide miscellaneous technical and administrative assistance to the Quality Engineering team, supporting the delivery of Compressors and Package Projects.

  • Engage with wider team including Quality Control, Documentation Control, Procurement, Projects Teams, and others, to help ensure that Quality Engineering deliverables are completed within schedule requirements.

  • Work alongside Quality Engineering and other teams to ensure all project related supplier documentation is accurate, on time and meets customer expectation levels. Reviewing & approving relevant supplier documentation such as material certification, test results and associated paperwork in alignment with ITP and MRB Index, in accordance with code & client requirements.

  • Support inspection/process review activities at Suppliers / Sub-Contractors. Work alongside colleagues to understand the project witness inspection and test support at suppliers, liaising with clients & witnessing authorities to meet contract requirements.

  • Help create and maintain suitable structures and control mechanisms which support information management within the electronic data storage facilities. Using available Business applications to support the creation / maintenance of a library for all existing QA WSIs, SPIs, SOPs.

  • Control of QA Technical Standards (Electronic and Hardcopy): Document all technical standards (including revision number) to which the Quality Engineering Team currently have access.

  • Support the monitoring / tracking of supplier performance indicators, to facilitate and develop the supply base’s ability to consistently meet or exceed defined expectations to demonstrably improve HCO supplier performance in terms of quality and delivery.

  • General assistance in the completion of miscellaneous Continuous Improvement activities, promoting quality across HCO through support of NC Management and RCCA Facilitation processes.

  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards in compliance with company policy to ensure safe working environment. Support the business in the management of the health, safety, and environmental management systems to maintain certification in accordance with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.

  • Experience working within a project environment.

  • Working knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Assurance.

  • Excellent data analysis skills, with ability to present data effectively.

  • Good understanding of witness inspection and test activities.

  • Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings.

  • Experience in dealing with clients and suppliers.

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.

  • Experience in the use of Microsoft SharePoint platforms.
